Can you feel the excitement? Because this is how I felt when I graduated college and my mom surprised me with a trip to DISNEYWORLD! Now as someone who grew up in california I went to Disneyland every year and I only dreamed of the days of going to Disneworld. It’s the ultimate experience for a Disney lover( I’ve also been to Disneyland in paris!).  I went on this trip a few months ago and am just now getting around to posting about it… #sorry. I visited 3 parks; Epcot Center, Discovery Kingdom, and Magic Kingdom. I have tons of pictures but since Epcot was my favoriteeeeeeeeeeeee I figured that’s what I would post about.  So let’s get to it! PICTURES!!

Disneyworld

So my brilliant mother and I happened to stumble on the food and wine festival. It was completely unplanned; we had no idea that this festival was going on but we were overjoyed when we found out what it was. Since Epcot center is an around the world experience the food and wine festival provides samplers of authentic food from each country you visit. I literally ate around the world. How cool is that!!!

Ireland: I tried the Lobster and Seafood Fishermans Pie. Normally don’t do seafood but this was ahhhhhmazing!

France: Creme Brulee. Need I say more!

Belgium: Belguim Waffles. I actually don’t like breakfast food. Its my least favorite meal of the day but whenever I do eat it I get belgium waffles and these were insanely good! It was hot, not too crispy and it had melted berries on top. Pure Heaven!

Morocco: So I didn’t like the food here but the little town designated to Morocco looked like it was straight out of Aladdin. It was beautiful! Oh and did I mention that in every country there are people who are actually Morrocan; irish etc that work there. Everyone in Morroco was Morrocan so you really got a raw glimpse at their culture.

Italy: I wanted to try everything from this country but I ended up getting the Salsiccia e Papacelli; which is sweet italian sausage with peppers and onions on ciabatta bread. Yum!

Disneyworld This is a little miniature town that they had built between Germany and Poland. I can’t quite remember what its a replica of but I thought it was interesting!

Disneyworld

This was right in the front of Epcot. Its a full bin of fresh cranberries! I love cranberry flavored anything so I was super excited to see this.  Disneyworld

Last but not least my FAVORITE thing the whole time we were there. I’m still dreaming of this Rocky Road Candy Apple! Werther Original is based in Germany so when I visited this country I just had to get some desert! They were actually making caramel and chocolate at the factory so the deserts were fresh! This candy apple literally lasted me like 2 days. I tried to savor every moment. Delish!

I couldnt have asked for a better graduation gift!

Tis the Season…

One of my favorite time of year is wedding season! I use to work in the catering business and summer/early fall were always big months for us. I was 16 and was rich!( not really but i felt like I was). I recently went to a wedding this weekend and It was so much fun! I as well as most girls have a Pinterest board filled with all different wedding ideas for my not so future wedding. Now and days rustic, shabby chic, forest themes are very popular. Everything is DIY and weddings are now more simple and sweet. Personally I miss the days of weddings being in a grand cathedral; and I love a good black tie affair. I plan on making my wedding a perfect combination of formal but with a twist. Below are a few of the looks im going for.

wedding

I love the sorority badges on the bouquet! I’m in the Delta Zeta Sorority and this would be a perfect way to incorporate my sisters and how much they mean to me!

Wedding

That train is OH MA GAWD!! and the cathedral veil on the right is gorgeous!

Wedding

I love having lots of flowers! The dimmed lights create such an intimate and romantic setting!

Whats your wedding style?

Head over Heels: Literally

Usually when people use the term ” head over heels” they mean it figuratively; but for this awkward girl head over heels is a very literal term for me. I have no clue how to walk in anything over 2.5 inches and even still the idea of wearing that makes me freak out a little bit. Needless to say I’m a girl who loves flats; sandals in particular and with it now being summer season I’ve been going crazy! I wear a size 11 so my options are often limited but I managed to find a few cute stuff!

Shoes Farley(DSW): Love the zipper on this. It makes it interesting instead of just being a boring black sandal

Mellow(DSW): I like the brown detailing on the sandal; plus the bottom of the shoe has this fur base that looks really soft!

Tara(Sole Society): This Oxford sandal is adorable!!!!!! I really don’t like flats like Oxford’s or ballerina shoes; they hurt my feet. So to get the same look but in a sandal version is awesome. obsessed!

Etta(Sole Society): I personally think nude goes with everything; I actually prefer it over black. The white snake-skin is also cute!

Have any sandals your loving this summer?

The Sweetness of Doing Nothing

Today I watched one of my favorite movies Eat Pray Love. Not only do I love Julia Roberts but this movie is all about balance, finding yourself and learning to love unconditionally. One of my favorite quotes is “Maybe my life hasn’t been so chaotic. It’s just the world that is and the only real trap is getting attached to any of it. Ruin is a gift. Ruin is the road to transformation.” Sometimes if you just sit still and let life go, you will be amazed out how beautiful simple can be. So today my OOTD was inspired by the simple things in life.

Makeup Monday: Mac Collection!

mac collection

Over the past couple of months I’ve been adding to my little Mac collection. Here is my collection thus far!

Mac Swatches Dark Skin

  1. Flat out FabulousMatte: It’s like a pink purple, borderline fuchsia! I love it!! One of my favorites and it goes with everything
  2. Relentlessly RedMatte: This red is pretty but it has a strong blue undertone that doesn’t fair well with my skin tone. I always have to wear it with a liner or put a gloss over it. It needs to played with before I can get it right so I only wear it when I have enough time to do my makeup
  3. RebelSatin: My first Mac lipstick! It’s perfect; really easy.
  4. HeroineMatte: Very purple. Sometimes when I want an edgy look or I’m doing a smokey eye I go with this lipstick.
  5. TwigSatin: A good everyday lipstick. I don’t really like “nude” or “brown” so this light shimmer pink is exactly what I was looking for
  6. Viva GlamMatte: Now I don’t really know which viva glam I have but I would say both of them are my least favorite. The brown is pretty with my skin tone; good for natural makeup look. I usually wear this when I’m wearing a lot of white; or a contrasting color like yellow or red. The red lipstick is my least fav. I haven’t quite figured out how to work it yet.

Now I know everyone says that every girl should have a red lipstick but personally I prefer pinks and purples. What are some of your favorite Mac lipsticks!?

OOTD: The Little White Dress

I know everyone likes to say that black is classic but personally I prefer white. My college graduation dress was white; my prom dress was white; and my favorite bathrobe in the world is also white (so are my bath towels). I seriously have a connection with this color/shade or whatever you shall call it. Its effortless, light and its easy to play up and down. See some of my favorite looks below!

Little White DressSimple messenger bag and a hat to make it a classic black and white combo! One of my favorite styles to wear!

Little White DressShift dresses are flattering for my rectangular figure. Such a mod look and a great way to accentuate the legs!

Little White DressI love a good deep neckline and fullness on the bottom. It adds dimension and curves to my figure as well

Little White DressEmbelleshed white dress; I dont know where I would wear this but its so beautifull I would find somewhere to go!

May Favorites

June is here; but I couldnt leave May without doing a quick favorites list. These are just a few things I couldnt keep my hands off of!
may favorites

Mac Flat out Fabulous: For about a year now my leading favorite Mac lipstick has been Rebel; but Flat out Fabulous has won me over. It’s the perfect pink lipstick and it goes with everything. I also like that I can throw a quick gloss on it as well and it looks just as cute.

Hudson Jeans: They are the perfect stretch jean; super comfortable. I wear them all the time.

Francesca’s bag: I use this for everythingggggggg. It fits just the right amount of stuff and it hangs perfectly on me. Can’t wait to get another one.

Michael Kors Sunglasses: Obsessed with them. I’ve had them for years and they have never broken; they also go with everything.

What were some of your May favorites?

OOTD: “Girl you Summertime Fine”

Its summer time which means swimsuit shopping! I’ll be honest; I’m not a swimsuit fan. I actually find paying for an outfit that I can only wear underwater rather obnoxious; but hey it has to be done! Below are a few pieces I have my eye on!

PS: I like to stay modest with my bathing suits-aka I like a one piece!

Bathing SuitYou can never go wrong with a black bathing suit. I love the no strings too-makes it easier to slip on!

Bathing Suit First off who doesn’t love roberto cavalli! He is literally one of my favs and I love giraffes! I usually don’t do graphics for my bathing suits but I would with this.

Bathing Suit Sometimes having strings in the back is obnoxious and you can never tie it tight enough. Straps in the front are easier to adjust

Bathing SuitAll white is perfect for me; and the eyelet is a good design. Also like the thin straps.

Bathing SuitColor Color Color! I like the bra wiring in the straps for added support. This color blocking is also well done! definitely a fun fashion piece

What’s in My Bag

Im always on the go and living a commuter life has me practically living out of my purse. There are some things I just can’t go anywhere without!

What's in My BAg

  1. My NYX Lipgloss: I carry this with me when I want a light touch up. It’s not a sticky gloss so it’s perfect by itself or adding over a lipstick
  2. My apple headphones: I literally want to cry if I get to work without these. Im allowed to listen to my own music at my job so my headphones come in handy for when I just want to vibe out to some music
  3. Candy: Any kind of candy will do but I always have a snickers or an airhead on deck!
  4. My Lilly Pulitzer Agenda: I live by this planner; all my thoughts for blogging are in here and I take it with me everywhere. I’m still trying to find a cute notebook for blogging ideas and then use the planner for scheduling! I’m thinking of getting one of the Kate spade notebooks; their so fun!
  5. Baby Wipes: I use these for just about everything; to clean off my makeup or sometimes to use when eating.
  6. Lotion: My skin is really dry so I always need some type of moisturizer!
  7. Sunglasses: Always need a pair of sunnies; my drive in the morning is long and the sun is just rising. I would go blind without a pair of sunglasses!
